New homes offer many advantages to you:

Possible money toward your closing costs or lower interest rate.
New home warranty (usually the first year covers most items along with a ten year structural).
You get your choice of flooring, cabinets, and countertops. You dont have to update someone else's old house.
You may get to choose where your home is located.
No one else has lived in the home. You don't have to worry about how well they took care of the home or what might be in the carpet.

Please understand that as informative as new home sales agents can be, they do not represent you in the transaction. They work for and represent the builder. DO NOT fill out a registration card without your agent present. This will prevent your agent from receiving compensation for representing you.
